 | eSilo is architected to be a set and forget it technology. This is accomplished by configuring eSilo schedules to backup your data at the appropriate times. Once a schedule has been configured, there is nothing more that needs to be done. The eSilo backup agents will continue to automatically backup your schedules day after day. After a scheduled |
backup completes, eSilo generates a report which summarizes the events of the backup. The reports are sent via email to pre-selected recipients.
Schedules
Configuring eSilo schedules, is normally the first thing you do after installation. They contain all of the information required to backup your data.
- Files to backup
- Time of day
- Days of the week or month
- Emails to receive backup reports
- Path mirroring
They can be modified, disabled or deleted at any time. There is no limit on how many schedules can be created. They can run every hour or once a year; whatever you decide is needed.
Backup Reports
Each time a scheduled backup completes, a backup report email is generated. The email addresses configured within the schedule receive this report. Reports can be sent in different formats and on an error-only basis. Backup reports contain the schedule name, eSilo username, start and end times, files transferred, files up-to-date and files failed. If an error occurs on any file during the backup, the failed file and its error description is listed as well.
eSilo maintains 6 months worth of backup reports for every customer. At the customer's request, we can furnish these reports at no additional charge.
