To utilize the eSilo Backup System, you must be an account holder. If you have not registered
an account with us yet, please visit our contact page. After contacting us,
one of our sales representatives will assist you. For information about the differrences between editions,
please visit our Backup Agents page.
Exchange Install Notes
eSilo also offers a separate application for backing up a Microsoft Exchange Server. It can
backup Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, and 2007 Servers. Before using the eSilo Exchange backup application,
you must first install the standard eSilo Backup Application, which will allow you to activate
your account. After activation, you will need to "Export Encryption Key" from the standard
eSilo Backup Application's "File" menu and provide this Encryption Key to the Exchange
backup application.
Linux Install Notes
After downloading the 'esilolinux.install' script, make sure its executable:chmod u+x esilolinux.install Please read the README.TXT file located in /usr/local/esilo after running the install script. If you have problems installing eSilo Backup for Linux or find the binarys are not functioning properly, please contact us. Storage Calculator
You can use our storage calculator without an account. This will allow you to select
the files and folders you would like to backup and calculate their storage size. This illustrates
the amount of data you would be charged for after being compressed with eSilo's
UltraZip technology. To use the
storage calculator, download and install the "Standard" or "Server" Edition. After installation, run the
application and choose the option for Storage Calculator.
